Maximum Overdrive (1986) is Why Stephen King will NEVER Direct another Movie!

The master of horror himself, Stephen King, steps behind the camera in 1986’s “Maximum Overdrive.” A movie where the only thing that is frightening is the behind the scenes terror caused by an unhinged writer/director amidst one of their worst bouts of substance abuse.

Master of Horror he may be, but King’s tale of sentient electronics and trucks (but not cars) is one of the most boring entries into his catalog of terror. But what is it that makes this movie so terrible? Join us with special guest, Dustin Goes to Hollywood from The Silver Linings Playlist Podcast as we rev up our engines to tackle Maximum Overdrive!
