This week, we are finally taking a stab at reviewing the year that was 2018. While we’ve used metaphors like a nuclear holocaust to describe a year in the past, no metaphor felt more true and of course more Pittsburgh than the floating dumpster. And what is in our floating dumpster this year you ask? Well we’ve some Oscar bait films, a whole heaping ton of mediocrity bordering on just laziness in mainstream cinema, and on the horizon, streaming services that threaten the very existence of said mediocrity.
